AI sales call follow-ups built from what was actually said.
When a sales call ends, Saley lists what you promised and what the prospect promised, each with the exact line from the transcript and the moment it was said. A due date appears only when someone said one. A follow-up email draft is written from those promises alone, and you edit, copy and send it yourself.
You promised · They promised
Every promise from the call, with the line it was said in.
On new calls, commitments come from the same post-call review as the notes and the score. Each item shows what was promised, the transcript’s own words in quotes, and a timestamp you can click to jump to that moment in the recording.
The owner is whoever said the line: your microphone is you, the call audio is them. That comes from Saley’s two-channel recording, not from a guess about who was speaking.
During the call, Live Assist’s Action items gives a quick list from the conversation so far; follow-ups are the quoted, verified list after the call. See live coaching.

Hi Dana, Thanks for the time today. I'll send the security overview by Thursday and set up time with your VP next week. You mentioned you'd forward your call-review checklist. Best,
Example with a fictional prospect.
Due dates
A due date only when someone said one.
“By Thursday” becomes Thu 15 Oct · said “by Thursday”. Saley turns a spoken phrase into a date relative to the call’s own day, and only for these phrases:
- today, tonight or end of day
- tomorrow
- a weekday
- this week or end of week
- next week
- end of the month
- a named date such as October 20
- “the 20th”
Anything vaguer stays No date, with the spoken phrase still shown: soon, next Thursday, 10/11. A date you set always wins and shows “set by you”.
What Saley leaves out
If Saley can’t quote it, it isn’t on the list.
Saley keeps a promise only if it can quote it. These are dropped rather than guessed:
- A quote that isn't in the transcript word for word.
- Words that turn up on both sides of the call.
- A line restating or asking for the other side's promise: “so you'll send it Friday?”, “can you send pricing?”.
- A day or date the line itself never said.
- A quote shorter than three words.
This rule decides what gets kept. Transcription can mishear a word and the review can miss a promise, so read the list and add what’s missing.
Across your calls
Every open follow-up, sorted by when it’s due.
The Calls tab has a Follow-ups view with every open commitment across your own calls, grouped Overdue, Today, This week, Later and No date.
Tick it off or go back
Tick an item to mark it done, or open the call it came from. A prospect’s page shows what is still open with that prospect.
Your own edits
Add, edit (owner, text up to 200 characters, date) or delete items. Edited items are tagged “edited” and keep the original quote.
Older calls
On older calls, Find follow-ups runs once per call on the stored transcript; after that you can add your own items.
Copy as tasks
Copy as tasks copies one call’s follow-ups as a plain-text checklist. It works per call, not from the list view.
Follow-up email
A follow-up email drafted from the promises, not from the whole call.
The draft is written from the commitments only; the transcript is not sent to write it. The first draft appears when you open the call.
It has a greeting, one line of thanks, what you’ll do, then what they mentioned they’d do. Plain text, under 150 words, no subject line, ending “Best,” so you add your name.
Saley is told not to add promises, dates, prices, attachments or links. A draft that names a weekday or month none of the promises mentioned is thrown away.
Edit it in place. You get up to six drafts per call, and Saley asks before replacing your edits.
Saley never sends email. You copy the draft and send it from your own inbox.
Before the next call
Open promises come back before your next call with them.
With the same Prospect Brief attached, Saley shows what is still open before you start the next call with that prospect.
- Open items in both directions, with due dates.
- When you last spoke, plus the first sentence of that call's notes.
- Your coaching focus.
It appears in the live overlay for about the first minute (Hide is in Live Assist) and on the Record tab before you press Start. Without a brief, only the focus shows. Saley doesn’t match prospects by name or calendar, and it uses your own calls only.
Limits worth knowing
What follow-ups don’t do.
- No CRM integration or export. Copy the email, or a call's follow-ups as tasks, and paste them where you work.
- No reminders or notifications. Open the Follow-ups view when you plan your day.
- No prospect matching. Open promises show before your next call only when the same Prospect Brief is attached.
- Your calls only. On a team plan, an admin who opens a member's call sees its follow-ups read-only.
- Mac only. Saley runs on macOS 13 or later.
Follow-ups and the email draft are included on every plan, from $69/month. No free tier and no trial. See pricing
Follow-ups FAQ
Sales call follow-up questions
Does Saley send the follow-up email for me?
No. Saley drafts the email from the commitments on the call, you edit it, and you copy it into your own email. Saley never sends email.
How does Saley know who promised what?
The owner is whoever said the line. Saley records your microphone and the call audio as separate channels, so a promise on your microphone is yours and one on the call audio is theirs. When the same words appear on both sides, or a line restates the other side's promise, Saley leaves it out rather than guess.
What if nobody gave a date?
The item shows No date. Saley turns only a short list of spoken phrases into calendar dates: today, tomorrow, a weekday, this week, next week, the end of the month, or a date such as October 20. Vaguer phrases such as soon or next Thursday stay undated until you set a date yourself.
Are follow-ups the same as action items in call notes?
No. Call notes summarise topics, decisions and action items in prose. Follow-ups are a checklist: each item has an owner, the line it came from, a due date or No date, and a box you tick when it's done.
Can I get follow-ups for calls I recorded earlier?
Yes. Open the call and choose Find follow-ups. It runs once per call on the stored transcript, and then you can add your own items.
Does Saley connect to my CRM?
No. There is no CRM integration or export. You can copy a call's follow-ups as a plain-text checklist and copy the email draft into whatever you use.
