The agreement for using Saley — who can use it, your responsibility to obtain recording consent, how billing works, and the limits of what the AI output and the service promise.
Effective July 12, 2026
Before you record
Recording a call involves everyone on it. Getting any consent the law requires from all participants is your responsibility — see Recording consent is your responsibility.
Acceptance and eligibility
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and Saley for your use of the Saley application and website. By downloading, installing, or using Saley, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Saley.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Saley. If you use Saley on behalf of an organization, you confirm you are authorized to accept these Terms for that organization.
What Saley is
Saley is a macOS desktop app that records your sales calls, produces speaker-separated transcripts, provides live in-call coaching, builds research briefs about prospects from public professional sources, and delivers a post-call review. To provide this, your call audio and text are processed securely on our systems in the cloud. What the service does may change over time as we improve it.
Your account
You are responsible for the account you create, for the credentials used to access it, and for activity that happens under it. Keep your login details secure and tell us promptly at contact@saley.app if you suspect unauthorized use. Provide accurate account information and keep it current.
Recording consent is your responsibility
Saley records both sides of a call — your microphone and your Mac’s system audio. Recording a call involves the other people on it, not just you.
Laws on call recording, wiretapping, and consent vary by state and country, and many require every participant to consent before a call is recorded. Saley provides an in-app consent acknowledgement and a visible recording indicator, but obtaining any consent the law requires from all participants is solely your responsibility. You are responsible for recording only where you are legally permitted to do so, and you accept all liability arising from how you record and use calls.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
Use Saley to record anyone without the consent the law requires, or in any way that breaks applicable law.
Use Saley to harass, defame, or infringe the rights of others, or to capture data you have no right to capture.
Reverse engineer, resell, or attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the service or its systems.
Upload malware or use the service to build a competing product from our content.
Lawful use of prospect research
Prospect Briefs compile research about third-party individuals from public B2B and professional sources. You agree to use this research only for legitimate business purposes, such as preparing for a sales conversation, and to comply with any laws that apply to how you handle information about other people, including data-protection and anti-spam laws. You are responsible for how you use prospect research.
Billing, cancellation, and refunds
Saley is a paid subscription. There is no free tier and no trial— your card is charged when you sign up, and your subscription renews automatically for successive billing periods until you cancel. Payments are handled by a third-party payment processor; by subscribing you also agree to that processor’s terms. See the pricing page for current plans and rates.
You can cancel anytime, yourself, from the app. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the billing period you have already paid for.
Refunds. Subscription fees are billed in advance and are generally non-refundable, except where a refund is required by applicable law. Optional hour packs are purchased explicitly and are likewise non-refundable once used. If you think you were charged in error, contact contact@saley.app and we will look into it.
AI output is provided as is
Transcripts, live coaching, painpoints, notes, scores, and prospect research are generated with the help of automated and AI systems. They may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date, and they are provided “as is” as an aid, not a source of truth. They are not professional, legal, financial, or other expert advice. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying anything Saley produces before you rely on it or act on it.
Intellectual property
We own the Saley software, application, website, and the underlying systems, along with all intellectual-property rights in them. These Terms do not transfer any of those rights to you; we grant you only a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Saley while your subscription is active and you comply with these Terms.
You own the content you create and record— your recordings, transcripts, Playbook, and notes. You grant us a limited license to host and process that content solely to provide and improve the service for you. You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to record and process the content you capture.
Disclaimer of warranties
Saley is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its output will be accurate.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Saley will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of — or inability to use — the service, including any reliance on its output or any consequences of how you record calls. To the extent we are found liable, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Term and termination
These Terms apply while you use Saley. You can stop using Saley and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if needed to comply with the law, or to protect the service or its users. When access ends, your right to use Saley stops; you can still request access to, export of, or deletion of your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the product and our practices change. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated by reasonable means. If you keep using Saley after an update takes effect, you accept the revised Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are to be read and applied reasonably and in good faith under general principles of contract law, without reference to any particular country’s or state’s choice-of-law rules. Nothing in these Terms removes any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect.
